Our first job in 1908 was providing sand to Old Elm Country Club in Highland Park.

Mr. Menoni hauled sand from Lake Michigan with a team of horses & wagon. As a result he bought a second team of horses and wagon. With these horses he plowed the streets and pulled the fire engine. He bought houses from nearby Fort Sheridan, dugout foundations and relocated them throughout Highland Park all with his horses.

The picture on this page was taken around 1930 and the boulder in the truck can still be seen today in a park across from the Ravinia Train Station.
